Figuring out what to do next in your career: the age-old inquiry.
There are lots of reasons to bring you there.
It’s possible that you hate your job, but you have no idea what to do about it. Wait out the toxic boss? Hope it’ll get better if you could just suck it up somehow? Quit? And if you did quit, what would you do next?
It’s possible that you have so many interests, not to mention strengths, that you have no idea how to choose. Everything sounds interesting, attractive, worth pursuing. You might have dozens of pros/cons lists filling your notebook and littering your desk—all of which lead to precisely zero increase in clarity or direction.
It’s possible that you’ve pretty much maxed out at your current job/organization, but can’t figure out where to focus your next job search.
…maybe a little bit of all of the above. If so, stay tuned this week!
Up tomorrow:
What should you be considering and prioritizing when you’re thinking about a career transition?
